Dry January

Tasting Experience

0% alcohol, 100% fun

Non-alcoholic drinks can be an important part of sustaining a sober curious or alcohol-free lifestyle.

With so many options, finding the ones you enjoy can be an overwhelming and expensive experience.

If you are sober curious, taking a break for Dry January, or on the path to going alcohol-free, you won't want to miss this event!

Taste a variety of

non-alcoholic drinks while having a fun, social experience with like-minded women.

Hi, I'm Laura and I'll be your host.

Like many women, in my early forties, I started feeling like alcohol was no longer agreeing with my body (hello perimenopause!) and drinking was starting to feel out of alignment with my otherwise healthy lifestyle.

After hitting a breaking point, I decided to "try on" going alcohol-free in a quest to feel better. Today, over 3 years later, I live happily alcohol-free.

Going alcohol-free has been so life-changing for me that I am passionate about sharing what I’ve learned to guide other women through the journey through events like this and the Still Me, But Alcohol-Free program I'm launching on February 1st, 2024.

The evening will include...

MY STORY

Laura Valvasori, Business & Well-Being Mentor for Women will share briefly about her journey to going alcohol-free and how non-alcoholic drinks have played a role in continuing to have an active social life while alcohol-free.

EDUCATION

David Thompson, Co-Founder of Clearsips, and wine industry veteran, will provide a short presentation about what to consider when choosing non-alcoholic wines and spirits.

WINE, BEER, MOCKTAILS AND SPIRITS SAMPLING

Justin Foxcroft from Clearsips will provide a mocktail-making demo of a mocktail that has been created for this event.

Clearsips will be providing samples of five everyday and premium wines including white, red and bubbly options. They will have some bottles available for purchase.

There will be a sampling bar available with a variety of beers, pre-made mocktails and zero-proof spirits with mixers.

The Splendid Olive will be providing samples of Balsamic Spritzers (trust me, they're yummy!)

Questions?

I am not sure this is for me, can you explain who this event is for?

This event is not intended to support anyone with alcohol addiction or alcohol use disorder. This event is intended to support women who are questioning their relationship with alcohol and interested in reducing or eliminating alcohol with the intent of feeling better so that they can live their best life.

For those in active recovery from alcohol addiction, non-alcoholic alternatives can be triggering and it is not advised to attend the event.

NOTE: Laura Valvasori is not a an addictions or mental health professional. Any information shared is for informational and educational purposes only.

Do I need to be ready to commit to a 100% alcohol-free life to benefit from the event?

Absolutely not. Making the decision to go alcohol-free is a journey. Everyone is on their own path. This event will provide you with informaton, an opporunity to taste non-alcoholic beverages, and the experience of attending a social event without alcohol.

Why is the event in mid-January?

Great question! Studies show that people often fall of the wagon for their Dry January experience around January 16th so I decided to host this event this week to give people options to get over that hump.

Will there be an opportunity to purchase products?

Yes, Clearsips and The Splendid Olive will have some products available for purchase.

What happens if I register, but can't make it?

I understand that things come up beyond our control. The ticket is non-refundable, but can be transferred to someone else in the event that you can't make it.
